Who Do You Know Who Has Kids Ages 5-11?
Let’s Get Some Kids Interviewed for You Tube!
My eight puppets are ready to interview some young’uns regarding the state-of-the-world.
Teaching consumed my time and energy last year so completely that the puppets have been banging on the lid of their trunk to Get Out and Do Some Talking!!
If someone’s child says something the parent does not approve of having uploaded to You Tube, then I will sign that that video will not be used.
Where and When can we meet to videotape an interview with
an honored child in you life?!!?
Maybe we can do it on Skype!!
What does “your” child think helps people get along better?
What does your child believe grown-ups can do to get the world working better?
What does your child think matters most in life?
With your help, the kids can make a difference for the world
they inherit!!
Leave a comment! Let’s DO it!!
WHAT DID YOU USED TO PRETEND?!!
We know kids need to play-pretend,but how do we get ‘em
back to how to do it?!
Do you know why kids have stopped this most human of childhood activities? I do…I watch and think about this all the time as a teacher.
Do you know other teachers and parents who are aware of and care about this situation?
I know how to teach kids to play the way we all used to…
and the way kids in low-tech countries still do! Help me find like-minded teachers who want me to videotape their classes as I teach the kids and teachers how to do this, quickly, effectively! All I ask is help in paying for my transportation, and parents’ permission to upload edited videos of the process to You Tube to reach more people!!
I’ve taught it to somewhere between 9,000 and 12,000 kids over a four year period…I didn’t realize until I was way into it that I could have been collecting data all along!
The kids have ALL agreed, after the experience…that they’ve
never done anything more fun!!
Who will help me plant this seed??!!!
Arrogance is Really Popular, Huh?!!
What’s better about you than someone else?
Will someone please tell me what you think the source of arrogance is?!!! Why do we humans puff-up so over characteristics and assets we deem better’n those of other folks?
I once worked in a corporation where you had to dress up each day. You know…suits from Nordstrom’s, high heels, make-up & the right sort of hair style. At the desk behind me sat a woman we’ll call Dawn.
She wore skirts too tight and short for her hips and thighs. The fabric of them was worn. Her blouses stretched over her bosom so that the buttons nearly popped off, and through the gaps, you could not but help to see folds of flesh and bits of undergarment.
Her white high heels were broken down and had huge gray dirt smudges where they rubbed the oily floor mat of her car.
Her voice was raucous, her desk a hurricane, her dyed hair blown onto her head by yesterday’s wind.
I had to find a way to like her, as we sat too close to avoid connection each day.
I learned to listen to her, rather than talk. I learned about her grief in raising her daughter alone. I learned she was warm, honest, Down-to-Earth…as good a person you could find to be your friend!!
What had conditioned me to assume so many negatives based on appearance?
Especially since I COULDN’T WAIT to quit that job a year later and go back to teaching where I could dress less painfully and sit on the floor with kids again. What do you think causes us to separate ourselves from one another more easily than we may unite?
Who do you know who is as arrogant as the puppet, “Brrr,” from my Ruckus Budz video?!!
